Greetings,
Setting up this blog has tested my patience. Having never done it before, I'm feeling pretty lost. Actually, having ZERO education/teaching background, as my classmates have, I am feeling extra lost! I cannot figure out how to invite/share my blog with my classmates. Do I need to invite each classmate? Do they invite me? Why am I unable to see my classmate's blogs?? ...did I mention I am L...O...S...T?!?!
I enjoyed the discussion in class today and am excited about all the possibilities available to take education from ordinary to extraordinary! I'm rather in awe of today's students...this technology is part of their everyday environment, vocabulary and understanding. As I was telling a classmate today; recently in a class I had to put together my very 1st powerpoint presentation. Having NO clue as to how to construct it, TO WHOM did I turn??? My 10 year nephew!!! Thank heavens he was happy to help his ol' Auntie C!
I'm now interested in the 'alternative licensing' master's degree/program in which some of my classmates are enrolled. I'm wondering how many additional doors this degree might open for me once completed. I think I'll make some inquiries.
Cheryl
Hi Cheryl,
ReplyDeleteI think you're doing just great. Don't be so hard on yourself, and definitely don't stress. Anytime you need help please feel free to email me. Also, I've given myself crash courses in many different programs by just "Googling" how-to videos that you can find online. Trust me, you're going to get through all this, and you'll be caught up in no time with this techie stuff!
Cheryl -- I think you're doing GREAT, too. It takes a leap of faith sometimes to go boldly into new technological directions. It may be challenging, but one of the advantages of having life experience is that you have a record of achievement to look back upon that attests to your ability to master tough challenges. That's what I keep telling myself! I'm pursuing alternative licensure so that I can teach middle/high school. I can tell you what I know. Let's talk.
